All works are based upon my own thoughts and observations, some are sketched directly from life with a model others are developed from my imagination. I like to experiment with different drawing media to try and achieve a particular look or feel. Recently I have introduced more background textures to help compliment some of the strong graphic lines. Other images work equally as well with just a few simple lines, less is more.
Each print is individually hand made by myself, works are presented against dark backgrounds to show deckle edge of the papers.

Sketched directly onto a prepared copper plate with a soft crayon, then acid etched using traditional intaglio techniques.
Attracted to the composition of the sitting figure, as she poses for the assembled observers.
Unintentional background or 'foul-bite' adds a welcome texture.
