Figurative Paintings
The paintings are all based upon my own thoughts and observations.
As a printmaker my normal working methods involve producing many preliminary drawings, before commencing the 'plate-making' process. This time I have taken the drawings further and introduced coloured washes. I am very pleased with the results especially the loose and spontaneous feel, something I try to achieve with many of my etchings.

Attracted to the composition showing the figure glimpsed through the bathroom door frame. Subtle tones and loose pencil lines help to capture the model's movements.
